铜包钢有专用接头器,例如旋紧接头器、三通接头器,且连接强度高,只要施工人员将接头处处理合格,就有很好的防水绝缘效果,有利于延长示踪线的使用寿命。尽管铜包铝也有专用接头器,但是由于铜与铝的化学活性差异较大,一旦接头防腐处理不好,被土壤中的液体侵湿,会形成原电池,进而加速铜包铝示踪线发生电化学腐蚀,一般1~2a内就会完全腐蚀断掉,从而失去示踪作用。

③铜芯电线的防腐保护层为PVC材料,其防水、防腐功能较好,但PVC材质容易老化,使示踪线使用寿命缩短;铜包钢与铜包铝的外防腐层为聚乙烯材质,即与PE管为同一材质,在具备了较好的防水性、防腐性的前提下,保证了与一起敷设的PE管道具有相同的使用寿命。

④理论上示踪线只要能够连通导电即可,但实际的燃气工程施工中,选择示踪线要考虑到需要有一定的抗拉强度,如果示踪线强度不够,往往会在管道回填土或地面有下沉时被拉断而失去作用。在施工的过程中,难免会出现示踪线被拉断的现象,因此,选择示踪线时不仅应考虑探测信号的强弱,也要考虑示踪线自身材质的强度,以减少施工中出现拉断问题。
